- - Called over 20 times to pay 2024 maintenance; spoke to a consultant once.
- - Consultant said I had the wrong department.
Over 20 times I have rung trying to pay 2024 maintenance.
Only once I got to speak to a consultant. She said I had the incorrect department. I am unsure why but will call telstra tomorrow to see if there is an issue

Absolutely rip off. Bullying tactics used to force people to buy.
- - They called us in England claiming we won a cruise and a Bahamas stay.
- - They pressured us for hours and warned of abandonment if we signed.
Buying a timeshare
The worst experience ever.
They called us uo in England and said we had won a cruise and stay in the Bahamas. When we arrived they brow beat us for hours and threatened us with abandonment if we didn't sign.
They comforted us with the fact if it didn't work out they would but it back. Calypso Csy

This company is horrible and the sales people lie to get you to buy. They are totally scamming people.
I would love to start a class action lawsuit against them.
Run and never look back. Beware.

Bed bugs
- - We booked two one-bedroom units for Friday to Sunday.
- - We checked out early Sunday after discovering bites; they were from bed bugs in Room 331B.
We booked two one bedroom units to stay three days, Friday; Saturday and Sunday night. Checked in after two am on Friday then spent all day Saturday on the street with our family enjoying Universal Studios.
Returned after eleven pm; showered and went to sleep. Unfortunately, that was not to be; because we thought we had mosquitos.
Next morning we decided to leave and checked out early. On returning to Atlanta, my daughter in law had to be rushed to the doctor because all over her skin was bitten up; come to find out that the bites were from.
bed bugs from Room 331B.
I did not tell the front desk because we didn't want to accuse so now that we have found out the cause of the bites. This is a warning to the location to please clean Room 331B for bed bugs.
Things can be deceiving since the room looked clean but needs cleaning properly.
Thanks

Terrible! Will not be returning!
- - $150 hold; verification took hours.
- - No garbage bags; told to buy at Walmart.
- - Resort fee $38 covers pool and Wi-Fi; room had pests.
Early August I stayed at this hotel, I am totally disappointed. First at check in, I had to pay 150.00 incidental fee.
The lady swiped my card and claimed the card did not take. I immediately checked my card and it was a pending charge of 150.00 on there. Therefore, the card did take. My family and I spent 2 hours waiting on accounting to verify the charge.
Well accounting never called back. Monday came and finally it was verified yes there is a hold on my account.
Next, I asked for a garbage bag. Lady go tell me oh "we don't supply garbage bags". "You have to go to walmart to buy garbage bags." I told her I have lots of garbage and I really need a garbage bag.
She goes well I'm not allowed to give out garbage bags Really???? You not allowed to give out garbage bags???
I asked her 38 dollars in resort fees, What is covered? No breakfast, no extra towels, blankets, garbage bags, Nothing. Again, what is covered for 38 dollars a night??
She states the pool and wify. Wow!!!!!
Last not least, the carpet in room is fifty. There are roaches and lizards in the room. I called and let front desk no and ask 2 speak to a manager.
She says there is no manager on duty. Wow!!! This is the worst hotel i ever stayed at. 38 dollars resort fees for nothing.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst customer service and hotel ever.

Ascendant Holidays/Calypso Cay
- - Purchased under sales pressure; discount offered due to a prior owner's heart attack.
- - We paid on time every month and never used it.
Made the error of purchasing this under sales pressure. At first we said no then the sales representative got a supervisor.
The supervisor told us they were giving it to us at a discount price because a previous owner had a heart attack and couldn’t travel any longer. We have paid this on time every month and have never used it. The Calypso Cay location is a run down place. Ascendant Holidays doesn’t have locations in certain states.
We were told to go to other states. The staff only knows what they have experienced which is Mexico and the buffets! This is scam!! We asked for assistance in selling for the remaining balance owed, we are not asking to make a profit.
We were told these option: we have to find our own buyers, pay it off and use it or pay it off don’t keep it.
Needless to say we are paying it off so it won’t effect our credit. We Do Not Recommend this Company to anyone!!!
Preferred solution: Sell it for us
Never any confirmation sent
- - Managers are described as unprofessional and rude.
- - Customer flew to Florida and felt abandoned; Vanessa didn't handle things.
Where do I start...
First of all the managers here at this resort if very unprofessional and highly rude!! Please be Aware this company had me fly all the way to Florida and left me for dead!
I called repeatedly and nobody seems to know where VANESSA is being she is the one to handle everything but never does!
Vanessa takes 10 lunch break a day which says she is a fat lazy pig!!?! as she does and she is the one at fault of all this she is a disgrace to this company!!!
Area owners proxy voting!
- - No lazy river on site.
- - On-site hotels don't lower maintenance costs.
- - The resort isn't among the best.
- - Promises were not kept.
- - Overall it's not good.
No lazy river, the hotels on site are not beneficial in keeping cost down on maintenance fees. The resort definitely not one of the best.
Promises made, not kept.
Very deceiving from the inception. Overall it's not good!
Angry
- - Cannot reach Mirta Sayegh at Calypso Cay Resorts.
- - Was told to pay before reservations for a promo.
- - Unable to update card; worried it's a scam.
I have been contacted by Calypso Cay and I been able to make payments. I have not visited the location as of yet but I will let you know.
I am starting to become very angry with this whole process. I have attempted to contact

This individual does not return calls. I have attempted at least seven times in 3 weeks. This is ridiculous. I feel like I might be getting ripped off. I was offered a promotional package and told when I complete payments, I can call and make reservations. I have been calling to update my credit card information and I cannot contact anybody who seems to know who I am despite the fact that I have been billed. The entire process stinks. I am wondering if the individual still works for the company, is she on vacation, or is this a scam.

Owner...but not a happy one
- - Customer service was poor; calls hung up when asking for a manager.
- - One unit was filthy.
- - Reservations were lost, found, then lost; no follow-up.
HORRIBLE!! I am sad to say I have to write this review as a owner of over 10 years.
If there was a way to give negative stars I would! Customer service desk was beyond being poor. I have audio clips of being hung up on twice when I asked to speak to a manager and when I asked who I could ask for when I called back. One of the units was filthy...pics of the knees of my 10mth old grandson after spending a few minutes crawling on the floor.
Lost/found/lost reservations. The biggest thing is the TOTAL DISREGARD for ANY customer service from all but 3 people I spoke to...Esther, took my complaint, but no one returned any calls.
Nate and Jasmine both listened and assured me someone would contact me prior to check out but again nothing. I personally left 3 voicemails to no avail.

Calypso Cay or Ascendant or RCI scam
- - They use many company names to confuse customers.
- - Salespeople lie to get you to buy.
- - Activation fees and restrictions waste the perks.
Of course they have multiple company names like Calypso Cay Vacation or Ascendant or RCI because they go out of business over and over to just be renamed something new each time. Plus it helps them confuse customers from knowing that the company they are dealing with is a scam.
The salesmen lie to your face over and over and over so that you will fall for the scam. They seem so nice yet they swindle you and they do it with a straight face. No matter how good of a deal you think you are getting it's a ripoff. The points you get are not worth the activation fee to gain access to them so scam 1, plus they are not useable because of the restrictions and hassle so they'll just expire eventually anyway.
Then the cruise discounts and upgrades are the same exact deal as if you were to have a really nice travel agent help you get. So that is scam 2 because travel agents are free and they get you the same exact upgrades and discounts. Then the "weeks" that you get are just best case scenarios. No matter how much the sales person guarantees they are really that price, they aren't.
So that's scam 3, a chance at a low rate resort or hotel is not going to ever be the price they tell you ($400 or $100) because the money you are paying them is 100% a stupid tax. They fully trick you into thinking you will get a lodging discount that is too good to be true because it is. They should make this a reality show where the viewers know when the sales people are lying, and watch them ruin relationships and cause people to be so happy with their purchase to later want to kill themselves for being such a sucker. Oh yeah, and the freebies that they lure you in there with are all scams too.
So that's scam 4, you can't use any of them because if you are not paying a "fee" to get the item or vacation or service that you were told was going to be free. Then you are paying more than you would to get an item just that you don't want so that you can use the funds that you got for free. Confusing I know. Basically you can spend $10 of your own money to use $5 of your gifted money (so it's going to be awhile before you can ever use up your $100 or $500) then what you are getting is a $20 item that you can use if you spend $50 at the restaurant or hotel or whatever.
So it's worse than a coupon because of the restrictions plus it's something that you don't even want but are just trying to use your free funds to feel like you didn't get scammed. Like I said, a reality show is needed to capture all of this frustration and scams so that the viewers can learn from the innocent people's mistakes.
We bought into your RCI point system and all most everything that was told to us was a lie.
Purchased on May 07 2018. We were told that we would have 46,000 points and when we called we were told that we only have5000 points.
We were told that if we put in 3 months ahead we were guaranteed a resort. NOT TRUE We were not issued a membership number. Which is required to make reservations. We have been a member for at least 14 years with calypso Cay and was satisfied.
We go to RCI and all I get is aggravation.
I hope that you can do something to solve this problems or we are going to stop paying for thePrime Points Member. Ralph Hassinger and Katherine Hassinger 24 Aspen Drive Lewistown, Pa, 17044 Phone 717-242-****
